12-16

Kacper and Katie did a great job with this week's news:

Student numbers 16-21 should return their moon calendar after break.

Students should remember to read 20 minutes each school night, and record their minutes on their reading calendar.  The December Reading Calendar is due January 4th.  The goal is 500 minutes.  This also counts for the Six Flags Read to Succeed program as long as students fill out the books they have read on the white form that is attached to the calendar.

*There is no December Genre project this month.

As the weather is changing, please remember that your child should be dressed for the weather. If your child would like to play in the snow at recess, they will need to have snow pants, coat, gloves, and snow boots. Otherwise, they will play on the blacktop only.

Please review the contents of your child's Friday Folder, including the weekly reflection. Then please sign and return the empty folder after winter break.

Remember, there is No School for the next two weeks due to winter break.  See you in 2017!!!

Krish and Kishoor did a great job with this week's news:

Students received a Moon Calendar before fall break.  Depending on your student's class number, they will observe the moon for one week in November or December and record what it looks like on the calendar.  They will then be the class reporters for the week.

Talent Show information went home last week. If your child is interested, please fill out the form and return it to school NO LATER than December 14th.

*We are taking a break from our spelling program and started cursive this week. This will be done in class in your child's cursive packet.
